ABOUT SCHOOZY

About Schoozy

Independent school research for families choosing education worldwide.

Schoozy is an independent research and discovery platform for international schools, boarding schools, and private schools that teach an international curriculum such as the IB. We organize school information into clear, comparable profiles so families can evaluate options across countries with greater confidence.

OUR MISSION

Make global school choice clearer, more transparent, and easier to compare.

Choosing a school becomes significantly more complex when families look across cities, countries and education systems. Fees may be presented differently, curriculum terminology varies, admissions information is often spread across multiple pages, and the factors that matter most to a family are not always easy to compare side by side.

Schoozy exists to reduce that complexity. Our goal is to organize important school information in a consistent and understandable way so families can research their options more efficiently and make better-informed decisions.

WHY SCHOOZY

School information should be easier to understand.

School information is often fragmented across official websites, admissions pages, fee schedules, curriculum documents, accreditation directories and other sources. Families comparing schools internationally may also need to interpret different currencies, academic systems, age ranges and terminology.

Schoozy brings this information together and structures it around the questions families actually need to answer.

Questions Schoozy is built around

  • What curriculum does the school offer?
  • What ages or year groups does it serve?
  • Is boarding available?
  • What are the published tuition and boarding fees?
  • Where is the school located?
  • Which languages of instruction are used?
  • What accreditations or affiliations are relevant?
  • How can the school be compared with other options?

Our aim is not to make the decision for families. It is to give them a clearer starting point for making that decision themselves.

OUR RESEARCH PROCESS

How we research and verify school information

School information changes over time. Tuition, curricula, admissions policies, accreditation status and other details may be updated from one academic year to the next. Schoozy therefore treats school data as information that needs a clear source, consistent structure and ongoing review.

  1. 1. Start with authoritative sources

Whenever available, we prioritize sources such as official school websites, published fee schedules, admissions materials, curriculum providers, accreditation organizations and other relevant primary sources.

  2. 2. Normalize information for comparison

Information is organized into consistent fields so that differences in terminology, currencies and presentation between schools can be understood and compared more easily.

  3. 3. Cross-check important details

Where multiple relevant sources are available, material facts are compared across sources. When information is unclear or conflicting, it should be treated as requiring further review rather than silently guessed.

  4. 4. Review information as it changes

School information can change from year to year. Schoozy records update information where available and revisits profiles as newer information is identified. When a material error is confirmed, our aim is to correct it promptly.

EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE

Commercial relationships should not determine editorial conclusions.

Schoozy is operated by ELT Education Inc., an education company that works with schools as well as families. Its services for institutions include enrolment marketing, admissions consulting, curriculum advisory and managed EAL programmes for international and boarding schools. That work helps us understand the questions families and schools face, but it also makes transparency especially important.

Our editorial principles

  1. Schools cannot buy a better editorial opinion

A school cannot pay Schoozy for a higher editorial rating, more favorable analysis or a more positive editorial conclusion.

  2. Commercial relationships should be disclosed

Sponsored placements, partnerships or other commercial relationships that affect how content is presented should be clearly identified where applicable.

  3. School-provided information is not automatically treated as independent verification

Schools may provide information to Schoozy, but material factual claims should be checked against appropriate sources before being presented as independently verified information.

  4. Corrections are part of maintaining a reliable database

When credible evidence shows that published information is materially inaccurate or outdated, Schoozy aims to review and correct it.

Representative Director

Tatsuya Tanaka is the Founder and CEO of ELT Education Inc., the company that operates Schoozy. He studied mechanical engineering at Waseda University and conducted graduate research in computational fluid dynamics. During his studies, he also conducted research at Rice University in the United States as a visiting researcher.

His experience studying and conducting research internationally shaped his belief that access to language and international education can expand a person's educational and career choices. In 2019, he founded the company that later became ELT Education Inc., which has since developed services across English education, international and boarding school admissions support, and education consulting.

Through Schoozy, the aim is to apply that international-education perspective to a different problem: making school information easier for families to discover, understand and compare.

OUR BACKGROUND

Built by an organization working directly in international education.

ELT Education Inc.

Schoozy is operated by ELT Education Inc., a Tokyo-based education company founded in 2019. For families, it provides online English instruction and international and boarding school admissions guidance. For institutions, it provides corporate language training, international school consulting covering enrolment marketing, brand positioning, curriculum advisory and admissions process optimisation, managed EAL programmes for international and boarding schools, and education-innovation programmes for Japanese secondary schools.

ELT Education also has a strategic partnership with ELT School of English, a London-based language education institution established in 1984. This connects the organization behind Schoozy with decades of experience in cross-border education while keeping the histories of Schoozy, ELT Education and ELT School of English distinct.

Working with both families and educational institutions provides useful perspective on the questions people ask when evaluating schools: curriculum, admissions, language support, academic pathways, location, cost and fit. Schoozy turns those questions into a more structured research experience.
