Origins and Heritage

Repton Dubai opened its doors in 2007 as the first overseas outpost of Repton School UK — an institution originally founded in 1557 under the bequest of Sir John Port. Repton Dubai has been an authorised IB World School since 2009. Its IB school code is 004674 (IBO registry). Arabic is offered as a Language B subject, and the school's Language of Instruction is listed as English on the IBO website.

The Four-Step Process

Repton Dubai structures its admissions process into four clearly defined stages, making it accessible while still maintaining selectivity:

Step 1 — Enquire Families initiate contact via the school's online enquiry form or by telephone. The Admissions team responds to provide initial information about availability and the application process.

Step 2 — Visit Prospective families are invited for a campus tour. Tours are available on most school days and provide an opportunity to see facilities, meet staff, and ask questions. This step is strongly encouraged before proceeding to formal registration.

Step 3 — Register Formal registration requires submission of:

• The completed application form
• A copy of the child's passport
• The most recent school report (academic transcript)
• Payment of a non-refundable application fee of AED 500

Step 4 — Assessment All prospective students undertake an age-appropriate assessment:

• Early Years (FS1–FS2): assessed through observed play — no formal test
• Year 1 and above: sit formal tests in Reading, Mathematics, and English

Results are communicated to families within three working days of the assessment.

Fees and Deposits

Upon acceptance, new students pay a deposit of 10% of annual tuition, which is deducted from the first term's fees. Returning students pay a 5% re-enrolment deposit annually.

Selectivity

While the school does not publish a formal acceptance rate, the admissions guidance notes high demand and limited places, particularly in certain year groups. Families are advised to enquire early, especially for Year 7 (start of secondary school) and Year 12 (sixth form entry).
