Origins and Growth

Ambassador Bilingual School (ABS) traces its roots to 2001, when founders Amporn and Chugait Garmolgomut — both with over 20 years of experience as educators — opened Little Stars, a small bilingual kindergarten in Chiang Mai. The positive reception from both Thai and international families validated their belief that high-quality, accessible bilingual education was in high demand in northern Thailand.

In 2009, building on the kindergarten's success, the founders officially established Ambassador Bilingual School, beginning with classes from Nursery through Grade 4. Their son Patrick Garmol later joined as Founder and Licensee, cementing the family-run nature of the institution.

Expansion Through the 2010s

Through the 2010s, ABS steadily added grade levels, constructing new facilities to accommodate secondary education. By the early 2020s, the school had grown to serve students through Grade 12, completing the full K–12 pathway. The Mae Hia Campus (2021)

Today

ABS now operates two campuses — the original Saraphee campus (main) and the newer Mae Hia campus — offering bilingual education from Nursery through Grade 12. With approximately 1,000 students, it has grown from a single-room kindergarten into one of Chiang Mai's more established Thai–English bilingual schools, serving both the local Thai community and Chiang Mai's sizable expatriate population.
