How entry works, per the school

POWIIS publicly states that it does not select students by academic ability. This is an institutional statement and should not be read as an independently verified selectivity or acceptance-rate measure.

The 2025–26 Tanjung Bungah parent handbook states that CAT4 is completed by all prospective students from Year 4 upwards during admissions. It says the Admissions Department informs parents when an accepted Year 1–8 pupil is classified as EAL, but it does not state a numerical English-language admission threshold.

For Year 12 entry, the school specifies an invigilated CAT4 examination and an Oxford English Online Placement Test of approximately 2.5 hours, followed by interviews with the Principal, Head of Sixth Form and, where applicable, boarding staff.
