Bangkok-Chicago Christian International School traces its roots to Southwest Chicago Christian Schools (SCCS), a well-established faith-based educational network in Illinois, USA. Responding to the need for a rigorous, Christ-centred international school in Thailand, BCCI was launched as a formal sister school, bringing the pedagogical philosophy and curriculum of SCCS to Southeast Asia.

The high school opened in autumn 2020, initially welcoming Chinese, Thai, and other Asian students who sought an English-medium education rooted in Biblical values. At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was reshaping schooling globally, BCCI's founders pressed ahead with their vision, establishing a faith community in the Samut Prakan area — just south of Bangkok, close to Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Rapid Growth and Expansion

Following the successful launch of the high school, BCCI progressively expanded its programme downward, adding middle school and elementary grades to create a comprehensive K–12 pathway. This expansion reflects both the growing demand from families in the greater Bangkok area and the school's desire to provide continuity of Christian education from early childhood through graduation.

By its fifth year of operation, BCCI had grown to approximately 180 students representing 15 nationalities — a remarkable achievement for a school of its age and a testament to its appeal to the diverse expatriate and international community in Bangkok and Samut Prakan.
