The school began modestly with just four students — a testament to the founder's faith-driven perseverance. The name DANSOL is a portmanteau of the biblical figures Daniel and Solomon, symbolising the twin ideals of godly wisdom and academic excellence that the school aspired to cultivate in every student.

Within months of opening, the school secured official recognition: in January 1996, the Lagos State government approved Dansol as an authorised examination centre, and 24 January 1996 was designated Founders Day — a date still celebrated annually with significant ceremony, including essay competitions, sports galas, and tuition-waiver awards.

Growth and Expansion

From its single-site origins, the institution expanded to include a Nursery & Primary section (Dansol Nursery and Primary School, DNPS) at a separate campus on Longe Street, Ikeja, catering to younger learners. By 2015, the graduating class at the high school alone numbered 106 students, reflecting dramatic enrolment growth over two decades. By the school's 30th anniversary in 2025, over 8,000 pupils are reported to have passed through the institution across all sections.

Leadership Continuity

The school's leadership has shown remarkable continuity. Mrs. Omotara Olanitori, who was one of the original founding pupils in 1995, rose to become Executive Director — a narrative that powerfully illustrates the school's ethos of developing leaders from within its own community.
