ELC International School

All applicants attend two full school days of assessment, which include age-appropriate written papers in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science and Verbal Reasoning, an informal interview with the Principal and Head of Division, and classroom participation alongside a peer buddy. Feedback is provided by email within five to seven working days. Students may attempt the assessment up to three times, with reassessment typically available three to six months after an unsuccessful attempt.

Yes. The school requires age-appropriate English fluency from all applicants, and at least one parent must be able to converse in English — translators are not provided during the admissions process. PULSE stands for Pastoral Care, University-Preparedness, Leadership, Social Skills and Employability. ELC was founded in 1987 with just five students and six teachers, guided by the vision of the late Mrs Margaret Ann Kaloo. The school relocated to its current six-acre Sungai Buloh campus in 1997, opened a second campus in Cyberjaya in 2010, and launched a Year 12–13 Pearson Edexcel A-Level programme at Sungai Buloh in 2024 — completing a full Reception-to-A-Level pathway. Today the two campuses together enrol more than 900 students.

ELC is locally rooted but genuinely diverse. A 2023 external inspection of the Sungai Buloh campus recorded that 67% of students were Malaysian, with the remaining 33% drawn from nationalities including Indian (16%), Korean and African (10%) and other Asian and European backgrounds.
