An Open but Structured Admissions Process

Mooltripakdee International School welcomes applications from all nationalities for children aged 2 and above. Unlike many selective independent schools that restrict admissions to fixed annual intake windows, MIS operates a rolling admissions process, accepting applications throughout the academic year subject to space availability. This is particularly practical for expatriate families who may relocate to Thailand at any point during the year.

The admissions process involves several structured steps:

1. Application submission — Parents complete the application form and pay a one-time, non-refundable Application Fee of 3,000 THB. This fee covers all assessments and any classroom observation that may be required.
2. Assessment — For students in Year 1 and above, the school administers a Cambridge Assessment Test covering English reading, writing, and basic mathematics. This provides a standardised, external benchmark for academic readiness.
3. Interview — Students meet with a teacher or the Head of School. Parents are welcome to attend. The process is conducted in English.
4. Offer and Enrolment — Successful candidates receive an offer and are asked to pay the Enrolment Fee of 70,000 THB (non-refundable, first year only) and a refundable Deposit of 10,000 THB to secure their place.

If a year group is full at the time of application, students are placed on a waiting list and notified when a space becomes available.

English Support for New Arrivals

For students whose English proficiency does not yet meet the standard required for mainstream class entry, MIS offers an English Learning Support (ELS) programme. This fee-based additional provision allows students to build English skills alongside their peers, making the school accessible to families where English is not the home language.

Academic Excellence Scholarship
