The American School Foundation of Monterrey traces its origins to a single meeting. On June 28, 1928, a group of international parents gathered at the International Club in Monterrey with one goal: to establish a school offering American-style education in Mexico's industrial capital. Less than three months later, on September 3, 1928, the first 57 students walked through the doors. The school was formally incorporated as a non-profit foundation on October 13, 1928, under Mexican education law.

Growth Into a Major Institution

Over the following decades, ASFM relocated to its present home in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, where it now occupies a sprawling 212,000 m² campus.
