San Roberto International School has its roots in a deeply personal vision. In 1982, Mrs. Monica Sada opened a small bilingual preschool in a rented house in San Pedro Garza García, naming it "San Roberto" in honour of her father, Mr. Roberto G. Sada Jr. — a prominent figure in Monterrey's business community. Recognising the demand from families in the southern districts of greater Monterrey, a second campus — Valle Alto — opened in 1994 along Camino a Valle Alto.
