BISP operates a year-round rolling admissions process, accepting applications at any point during the school year for any year group. This flexibility is a practical accommodation for expatriate families relocating to Phuket mid-year. However, the school's reputation and limited capacity mean that popular year groups regularly carry waiting lists of 6–12 months — a reality that expat community guides in Phuket strongly advise families to plan around.

English Proficiency: The Core Requirement

Since all instruction at BISP is in English, demonstrating sufficient English language ability is the foundational requirement at every stage of entry:

• Primary applicants with limited English may be considered for a conditional place, supported by BISP's Intensive English Programme and a reduced initial timetable
• Secondary applicants are expected to demonstrate stronger English and will typically complete an English assessment (reading, writing, spoken)
• Upper School (Years 10–11) entrants require near-native English proficiency, and may sit an online English language test arranged through the Admissions Department
• Sixth Form (Years 12–13) IB Diploma applicants require a minimum of five IGCSE passes at grades A–C*, with English B at minimum grade C for SL subjects and B for HL subjects

Document Requirements

All applicants are expected to submit recent school reports, a reference from the current school, and proof of identity. Immunisation records and language assessment results are also typically required.

Fees at Admission

Two one-time fees are payable at the admissions stage:

• Application Fee: 6,000 THB (non-refundable, per student, due at application submission)
• Placement (Admission) Fee: 200,000 THB for a single child, or 250,000 THB for families enrolling more than one child simultaneously (due on acceptance)

Sibling Policy

For returning families, BISP offers a sibling discount on tuition: 5% off for a second child and 15% off for a third or subsequent child enrolled concurrently.

Given the competitive nature of admissions in popular year groups, families moving to Phuket are strongly advised to apply as early as possible — ideally 12 months before the intended start date.
