Institut Florimont was established in 1905 by the Congregation of Saint Francis de Sales (Salesians) in Petit-Lancy, a leafy suburb just minutes from Geneva's city centre. Campus Transformation (2013–2025)

The school's physical transformation mirrors its academic ambitions:

• 2013 — New kindergarten building opened, featuring an observatory-inspired design.
• 2020 — Major campus expansion delivered a multipurpose sports hall, FabLab (maker space), new library and multimedia room, arts space 'L'Attique', and two new dining halls.

• French Baccalauréat — the French state diploma, fully recognised across France and internationally.
• IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) — offered since March 2014, with 18 subject choices across six groups.

The most recent published results (2024) demonstrate consistent high performance:

• French Baccalauréat: 100% pass rate.
• Swiss Maturité: 100% pass rate.
• IB Diploma: 94.11% pass rate (32 candidates); highest score 41/45; 16% of candidates scored 36 or above; 91% earned the Advanced Bilingual Diploma.

The 2020 Campus Expansion

In 2020, a cluster of new buildings opened simultaneously:

• Multipurpose Sports Hall — a large indoor venue for physical education, team sports, and school events.
• FabLab (Maker Space) — a creative technology workshop equipped for 3D printing, robotics, electronics, and design projects, directly supporting the school's STEAM curriculum.
• Library and Learning Centre — a modern research and reading environment replacing older facilities.
• Multimedia Room — equipped ICT space for digital learning.
• L'Attique (Arts Space) — a dedicated building for visual arts, ceramics, and performance, housing the art and drama programmes.
