Sunnyside International School accepts students from age 3 (kindergarten) through Grade 6 (primary). Applications for the kindergarten open July 1 each year; primary school applications open in November. The process includes a parent interview, child individual assessment, and group assessment in December. A registration fee of ¥5,000 is payable on application. Enrollment fee is ¥50,000 for internal transfers and ¥100,000 for external applicants. The academic year begins in April, in line with the Japanese school calendar.
