IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Schools

The IB MYP is a five-year programme for students aged 11-16 that provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills. It covers eight subject groups including language, sciences, mathematics, arts, and design, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary learning.

While the MYP is designed as a natural pathway to the IB DP, completion does not automatically guarantee entry. However, MYP students are well-prepared for the demands of the Diploma Programme and typically transition smoothly.

The MYP uses criterion-related assessment aligned with subject-specific objectives. In the final year, students complete a Personal Project demonstrating sustained independent work. Schools may also opt for MYP eAssessment, which includes on-screen examinations and coursework portfolios.
