Stamford American International School opened its doors in August 2009 in temporary premises at Lorong Chuan, Singapore. 2012 — Woodleigh Campus Opens

Three years after opening, SAIS moved into its purpose-built permanent home at 1 Woodleigh Lane — the Woodleigh Campus that remains its secondary and elementary hub today. The move enabled significant expansion in student numbers and the introduction of new facilities that underpinned the school's academic ambitions.

2014–2015 — IB and WASC Accreditation

The school secured its IB World School authorisation for all three programmes (PYP, MYP, DP) and its initial WASC accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Schools — the US West, confirming that SAIS transcripts would be recognised by American and international universities. CIS membership followed, giving the school recognition from the Council of International Schools.

2017 — Early Learning Village (ELV)

The most dramatic milestone in the school's history came in 2017 with the opening of the Early Learning Village at 3 Chuan Lane — a 50,000 sqm campus developed in partnership with the Anglo-Chinese School. Designed to serve children from Pre-Nursery through Kindergarten 2, the ELV was conceived as a model of early childhood education philosophy made physical: six outdoor learning areas, infant pods, a variable-depth pool, and family café spaces embedded throughout.

2019 — 10th Anniversary

Woodleigh Campus

Early Learning Village (ELV)
