How entry works
The school describes itself as non-selective, but states that every applicant completes an age-appropriate assessment, secondary applicants submit prior attainment evidence, and placement depends on both the ability to benefit from the curriculum and vacancies.
The school's admissions policy, marked 'Reviewed CoG Nov 2024', sets out different assessments by age: observation of interaction and language for Preschool/Reception; an informal interview and basic-skills assessment for Years 1-2; interview, basic-skills assessment, online cognitive-ability tests, unaided writing and a current-school reference for Years 2-6; and a CAT4 computer baseline test for Years 7-10. CAT4 may be taken at the school, at the current school where practical, or at home with remote invigilation.
Availability and entry timing
The 2026-2027 availability page records Year 10, Year 11 and Year 13 as closed, with Pre-school and Years 7-9 open for the wait pool only. The public Help Centre adds that Reception to Year 9 admissions can occur during the year subject to availability and successful assessment, that Year 10 and Year 12 admissions are accepted only until the end of Term 1, and that there is no admission to Years 11 or 13.
What is not published, and one historical reference point
No published acceptance rate, current waiting-list length, public year-group vacancy count, or named English-language test with a published minimum score was located in the policy, Help Centre, inspection material, government register or directories reviewed.
The one independent source is a British Schools Overseas inspection conducted in November 2014, which recorded that entry was non-selective at that time, that applicants' English had to be sufficient to access the curriculum, and that applicants with special educational needs were accepted where the school had capacity to support learning. This is historical and does not confirm the current policy.
