Accreditation on record

The Council of International Schools recorded Nexus as re-accredited on 22 April 2022. CIS accreditation is an institutional quality-assurance process; it is not a ranking and does not assert that the school is superior to alternatives.

How it is described independently

One independent school-directory profile describes Nexus as a CIS-accredited IB World School founded in 2008, part of Taylor's Education Group, with around 700 students from more than 30 nationalities. This is third-party descriptive coverage, not an external ranking or inspection grade.

What the school states about entry

Nexus says an admissions assessment is arranged only when space is available, and that its review considers assessment results, school reports, IGCSE/IB subject options, English-language ability, behaviour, support needs and availability of places. It does not publish an acceptance rate.

The school's published enrolment terms state that, after payment of the application fee, an application may be placed in a wait pool depending on place availability. Where there is no vacancy in the requested year group for the requested term and academic year, the application automatically proceeds to the following term unless withdrawn in writing.

Support places are capacity-limited

On the school's own fees material, EAL/FEP and learning-support places are described as limited and subject to admissions assessment. This reading suggests families needing these services should confirm capacity before applying rather than assume availability.

What could not be found

Across the publicly accessible admissions terms, application materials, the CIS record, the IB listing, Malaysian-register traces and school directories reviewed, no source was found that publishes a named entry test, a language-test score threshold, an interview protocol, a ranked admissions-priority policy, a year-group waiting-list count, or an acceptance rate.

What independent sources say

A BlueSky Education case study published in August 2024 describes Nexus as educating around 650 pupils aged 3-18, states that most pupils were from Malaysia, that about 34 nationalities were represented, and that international boarding was available.

An undated International Schools Database profile lists 730 students, 36 nationalities, Malaysian as the most common nationality, and a 50% local to 50% international student ratio. These figures come from lower-tier directory and case-study material and do not fully agree on totals.

What the school states about boarding

Nexus describes its boarding community as having over 100 boarders from more than 15 nationalities, including Malaysia, China, the UK, Korea, India, Japan and Bangladesh.

Historical figures and their limits

An IPC accreditation report recorded 322 children in the Early Years and Years 1-6 in November 2013. Current whole-school nationality, local/international percentage and class-size statistics were not found in reviewed current official or independent sources, and a historical school profile is insufficient to state a current demographic composition.

IBDP results as reported by the school

For the 2026 IBDP results, Nexus published an average score of 34, stated that 18% of learners achieved 40 or more points, and reported two 45-point scores and seven bilingual diplomas. Candidate count, pass rate and cohort size were not published in the result summary.

These figures come from the school itself and have not been independently verified in the evidence reviewed.

University destinations

The school's university page provides named institutions that graduates have 'been accepted into' but does not give years, cohort sizes, student counts or enrolment confirmation. These names should not be read as matriculation outcomes.

Boarding expansion and results, per the school

The school announced a purpose-built Senior Boarding floor, stating that boarding then housed over 120 boarders and that the new space was intended for IGCSE and IBDP learners.

Nexus also reported that its Class of 2026 achieved two perfect 45-point IBDP scores. These two items come from the school's own announcements and are not independently verified.

Programme fit

On the current IB directory, which lists DP and CP only, the school is most directly aligned with families seeking English-medium IPC/IGCSE/IBDP or IBCP pathways rather than A-Level, IB PYP or IB MYP programmes. Families wanting those other pathways should confirm availability directly.

Boarding entry point and cost

Boarding is a practical fit only from Year 5 upward. For 2026/27, full boarding is RM17,540 per term and weekly boarding is RM15,830 per term, before any other applicable school charges.
